Happy Father's Day

This is for all the wonderful father's in my life

Starting with the love for life and father of my children: Austin

Second: To my Dad, Who I miss dearly.

To my Step-Dad: Don:

Father's Day

Over the years
As we grow old,
We remember our father
So brave and bold.

In the garden,
Leaning on the plow,
He would listen to me;
I see him now.

He would give advice
And understand;
He was always there
To lend a hand.

God made fathers
Strong and firm,
For he knew our lives
Would have great concerns.

So he gave us fathers
To teach us to pray,
And guide our lives,
And show us the way.

So on his day
Let's take the time
To say "Thanks, dad.
I'm glad you're mine."
Mary Frances Bogle

And to both my grandfathers: Grandpa Ahleen and Grandpa Pete

Grandfathers Are Fathers Who Are Grand

Grandfathers are fathers who are grand,
Restoring the sense that our most precious things
Are those that do not change much over time.
No love of childhood is more sublime,
Demanding little, giving on demand,
Far more inclined than most to grant the wings
Allowing us to reach enchanted lands.
Though grandfathers must serve as second fathers,
Helping out with young and restless hearts,
Each has all the patience wisdom brings,
Remembering our passions more than others,
Soothing us with old and well-honed arts.

Trip to the zoo with Billie and Gary Rudolph

Billie and Gary stopped and spent a couple day hanging out with Justin. The First day-Justin went to lunch, swimming and work on his favorite thing with his grandma- Origami. Later that night we all went to dinner. Second day- they treated us to a trip to the Zoo.
After the trip to the zoo I insisted on making dinner,
so we had a BBQ, Mom and Don came down. We had a great dinner and
had fun talking and sharing stories.

Thank You Billie and Gary,
for being such great grandparents to Justin.
Happy Fathers Day!! Gary

A long day

Austin left wednesday morning with Quinn and Madison, on a long journey. They left at 8:05am out of Salt Lake City getting in to Long Beach about 8:55am, they caught there connecting flight leaving Long beach and arriving into Chicago, IL at 4:22pm. Were they caught a cab to Enterprises just 3 miles away from the airport. And from there it was a 6 hour drive to St Louis, Mo. They finally arrived at 11:00pm. Talk about a long day but it was all worth it.

Congratulation to My Uncle

Makay McIntosh of Layton, has been elected to receive his Silver Beaver Award in the Trapper Trails Council.
Makay and Cindy McIntosh are proud parents of three daughters and a son. Makay loves his family, honors their uncompromising confidence and cherishes their priceless support. Makay has spent many hours, days and weekends sharing his talents with those involved in the Scouting programs. He would like to thank the many individuals who were great examples to him during his youth that sacrificed their time and talents to share with him their love for Scouting and service which carried into his adult life in which he was able to give back to the youth in his area. We have a tradition that anytime we come to Vegas we have to go to the Cheesecake Factory in Ceasars Palace. So after we checkin our rental car , and checked our bags at New York New York, we slowly made our way to Ceasars Palace, So about a mile and a half later of me pushing the stroller and fighting the crowds, we finally made it. But wait the fun doesn't stop there, about 20 minutes later we both looked at the time and it was 4:00pm, our plane leaves at 5:33pm. We scrambled to get the kids, rush to the other side of Ceasars to catch a cab, we finally got in a cab, hit every red light from Ceasars Palace to New York New York, I had hurry in a get our bags, and I hopped back in the cab, finally made to the airport. The plane is schedule to leave in 30 minutes. We were the last to checkin at the counter, we still had to make it through security and hop on the tram from the main terminal to the terminal we were flying out of. So we all ran from the tram to our gate, we finally made it with a minute before the closed the door.
